DESCRIPTION OF YOUR WORK I conduct PhD research on innovation processes on the Tunisian site of EAU4Food (El Brahmi). I focus on dairy farmers and their technical and organizational innovations in relation with the actions of other local actors (state administration, local research, commercial sector). I use the Agricultural Innovation Systems framework. My work is based on semi-structure interviews, observation and interactive participatory methods that I develop and test with local farmers (serious game). I started the fieldwork in the second half of 2012 and I am planning to continue until the end of the project.
WHAT ARE YOUR EXCEPTATIONS OF YOUR WORK IN THIS PROJECT I expect to bring new insights into how to analyze local innovation processes and how to develop a methodology of intervention that would make it possible to explore the complexity of a local innovation system and to support local actors in their innovation efforts by increasing their understanding of this system.
Transferring the tool developed with the local famers to a higher level would be another desirable outcome.
